Kaseri PDO Elassona

One of the most popular cheeses of our country, mainly produced in Thessaly and the wider region. It is considered a semi-hard, pale yellow cheese made from sheep and goat’s milk. It has a compact touch with no or few holes. Buttery, sweet, with a pleasant taste and a rich aroma. It is available in rectangular logs or cylindrical wheels. Kaseri contains no antibiotics, additives, artificial colourings, and is also GMO-free. Kaseri can be consumed as it is, or in pies, pasta dishes, and generally wherever you need a cheese that will not completely melt when heated, but retain its elasticity. It is an ideal companion to smooth or strong red wines, as well as to fruity red and white wines.
